a/stir (formerly Capitol Cider) has been in the heart of Capitol Hill for over a decade and has been reimagined in October 2023, sporting a fresh palette and contemporary art against the century-old brick and warm, welcoming booths.

Our dining room serves contemporary American fare with Northern Mediterranean (think Spanish, French, Italian, Greek, and Turkish) influences - gluten-free dishes in a casual yet elevated space and offers one of the most exquisitely curated cider, wine, and cocktail lists in the city. Leverage the knowledge of our staff to explore the complementary and often surprising connections between food and drink.

Downstairs, we offer a casual hang out space, bar/speakeasy as we call it - a homage to classic neighborhood hangouts of the yesteryear. Downstairs bar at a/stir serves the same menu as the dining room.
